The Necchi NC-59QD sits nicely between a basic mechanical machine and a fully computerised one. Choosing a stitch is as simple as turning the dial, while the start/stop button and speed control make it easy to sew slowly and accurately, which is a big help when you are learning. The extra space to the right of the needle is useful for quilting and bulkier projects too.
