Schmetz Microtex Sewing Machine Needles, Size 80. The Microtex Sewing Machine Needle is a slim needle with a thin shaft and sharp point that is designed for use with micro-fibres, polyesters and high thread count fabrics. This needle is also suitable for particularly straight stitches when topstitching on edges. This needle will work on nearly all domestic sewing machines.

Generally good for fine, high thread count fabrics, i.e. polyester. Not suitable for jersey fabrics.

NOTE – the use of sewing needles on different fabrics is not an exact science. Any problems with the quality of your stitch may mean you need to try a different type of needle for your sewing project.
NOTE – we deal with a number of suppliers, some send the needles on a card and some don’t. You may receive the needles either way – be sure though that they are all the same Schmetz quality!
