Schmetz Standard Sewing Machine Needles, Universal Size 100/16, Standard Needle 130/705. The Universal Sewing Machine Needle is a general purpose needle with a slightly rounded point and a long scarf, it is great for use on a lot of woven fabrics. This needle will work on nearly all domestic sewing machines.

Generally good for stable woven fabrics, i.e. cotton.
Not suitable for knit and stretch fabrics, leather and very fine fabrics.
